Wayne’s favorite time of year was Christmas, where many children were convinced he might be “Santa Clause”. He enjoyed mowing and taking meticulous care of his yard, playing cards, watching westerns, especially John Wayne movies and the company of family and friends. In his younger days, Wayne attended meat shoots at the Isaac Walton. He was a member of the Fryburg Sportsman’s Club and supported many local fire departments’ gun raffles. He was avid hunter and fisherman and a loyal Steelers fan. Wayne was an Army National Guard veteran, where he had served in the infantry division and was an excellent marksman. In his earlier years, Wayne had been employed by the glass plant in Oil City and retired from Range Resources in Cochranton. ![]()
